Tow Truck Vancouver

Tow truck Vancouver are a common sight but nobody wants to be staring at their car while they are towing it. Unreasonable parking fines are the leading cause of being towed. If we were a towing company, we would absolutely love to take care of your vehicle while towing it, but you wouldn’t want that to happen, would you?

Things escalate your fines

According to Vancouver Sun, one in five Vancouver parking tickets goes unpaid each year, and this number is approaching 75,000. Parking in the town is so awful that generations of local people in Vancouver have been adapted to a fully auto-free life. Everyday driving is unavoidable in Van City, and car ownership is on the rise. The lack of legal parking makes it difficult to find one, and the city is awake and busy at all times.

What action city or parking authority might take

City officials have a few options at their disposal.

You’ll eventually receive a court summons if you do not pay your ticket, or if you attempt to dispute it in court.  Alternatively, parking authorities such as Impark and Diamond will send you multiple notices through the mail and eventually forward them to a collection agency. As a result, your credit score may also be impacted.

Your Call-to-action:

First of all, don’t get ticketed in the first place.

  1. Pay your parking fee through the app like PaybyPhone, Honk, etc. The app will remind your remaining time while you are away from the topic.
  2. Some parking meters only allow you to park for a certain timeframe, so even if you are paying on time, you might get a ticket when you run back to move your vehicle.
  3. Don’t park illegally in the parking lot. Although you might be relaxed paying the parking fee in the lot, make sure you know where you cannot park. Once the case escalates, we will receive a call to tow your vehicle
  4. Send the authority an email right away, if you receive a wrong ticket. With a valid explanation, you can always dispute a ticket issued by the city of Vancouver.

Get a deduction or file a dispute:

According to the provincial government, motor vehicle tickets get a deduction for paying a ticket quickly.

You can deduct $25 for tickets issued under the Motor Vehicle Act and Regulations if you meet the following conditions:

  • Payment is due within 30 days of the date the ticket is issued
  • Tickets cost more than $58
  • Tickets are paid in full (partial payments are not deductible)
  • There hasn’t been a dispute on this ticket

You can save 40% when you pay within 14 days. You can find dates and a breakdown of your responsibilities on your ticket

Sometimes the meters don’t work properly and sometimes there is an issue with the app as well. In those situations, don’t worry as you always have the benefit of the doubt. In our capacity as the best tow truck Vancouver, we make sure your car is taken care of while being towed; however, we want to eliminate the possibility of that happening in the first place. Until next time, be safe!
